Sacai, Jean Paul Gaultier and Nike have decided to take the classic VaporWaffle silhouette in hand to make it a new model.
We know all their strengths well, so we cannot be surprised to see what they have managed to create together. Take the classic VaporWaffle model, reinforce it with a higher cut and visible Air Women seams along the entire instep and ankle. This is the new sneaker presented in collaboration between the brands. The colors chosen are a two-tone ‘Black/White‘, the other bolder in ‘Blue/Sesame‘. The materials used are a mix of suede, calfskin and mesh materials. The sole, as in the classic VaporWaffle model, maintains a rather robust aesthetic with the presence of the double layer.
There are other Sacai details that remain unchanged such as the laces, the mudguard and the hybrid sole. While we are witnessing a reversal of the model with a definitely higher upper that stretches up to the ankle.
In short, the new Sacai x Jean Paul Gaultier sneaker model stands out from the classic models of the Japanese brand, remembered first of all for their minimalism. In a play of colors and an unusual look, you could therefore find your sneaker of the year.
Both colors of the Sacai x Gaultier x Nike VaporWaffles have already been pre-ordered on the Gaultier website for € 198. However, we expect a larger release before their official launch by the end of September and that the prices on the reselling market reach the stars. We just have to watch!
