Y-3, the iconic and historic collaboration between Adidas and the Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto has decided, for Spring Summer 2021, to stagger the collection pieces for next spring in 3 chapters.
We have now reached the third chapter, the last, the conclusive one of the saga. The theme for the grand finale is the summary of the garments for the warmer months, designed to combine sportswear performance with the aesthetics of street culture that characterize, on the other hand, the entire aesthetic-design line of the brand, but, this time, projected at the highest temperatures possible.
The products included in this last selection are inspired by the Japanese expression “Kage Wo Otosu“, to recall the origins of the designer. The translated expression is literally like “casting shadows“, all to emphasize the link with the warm months for which the collection was designed.
In addition to the practicality of the garments designed for the summer, the silhouettes are developed in such a way as to enhance their shapes in the light: extra-light fabrics, translucent inserts and bold colors, especially considering the classic muted tones of the Adidas-Yamamoto duo.
