It is well known that opposites attract and the proof comes from Simone Rocha x H&M.
The world of fast fashion with H&M becomes sustainable, conscious and refined. For years now the large multinational has been trying to change the world of fashion and one of the ways to do it is to give space to the creative and artistic work of great designers.
H&M collaborations with great stylists make lines, designs and volumes accessible to everyone that we mere mortals can only see parading on the catwalks during fashion weeks. 2021 is the year of Simone Rocha who reworks her key looks with new proposals suitable for the general public. The capsule, which will be available from 11 March in selected H&M stores and online.
“Simone Rocha has long been on H & M’s wish list. This capsule offers a wider audience the opportunity to own a very special garment in the history of design. All of us at H&M have been so stimulated to work with a designer who reflects a lot on contemporary femininity and is equally committed to the excellence of the finished product, starting from the design of every single detail, up to the use of particular fabrics, shapes and decorations. . Each garment in this collection is unique, special and is the result of years of work and meticulous research”.

The dresses with floral motifs with large and vaporous volumes are the result of the designer’s idea of femininity that has its roots in the complexity of being a woman, today as yesterday. A vision softened by organza and candy pink dresses tells that behind a wide skirt there is much more.
Her entire philosophy is wrapped around the idea of femininity and how it integrates into women’s daily lives, how they make them feel. With each collection Simone tells a story, within which women can reflect themselves. It is often a story that tells of the stereotypes through which men view women.
The Simone Rocha x H&M collection includes her signature clothing for women along with men’s and children’s clothing, marking the first time that the designer has designed a wardrobe for the whole family. All the garments are designed to communicate with each other. So what to expect from this year’s anticipated collaboration? Delicate tulle dresses, Scottish tailoring, beaded shirts, braids, outerwear such as trench coats and exclusive accessories such as sparkling jewels and pearl-embellished shoes.
In the meantime, H&M is also doing something concrete in its stores to make fast fashion sustainable: in a word Looop.
