In a world “shaped by technology”, Prada decides to subvert the canons of traditional fashion advertising, to get closer to people and to get deepen the dialogue in a historical moment like this, where isolation marked our lives.
The first collection, presented by the highly acclaimed designer couple, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, ended with a conversation between them, who answered questions from fashion victims.
As a sequel to this first act, the new SS21 “Dialogues” campaign is born, with a collaboration of artistic director Ferdinando Verderi, also Vogue Italia’s creative director. The designers, who previously listened to and responded to the public, now interrogate the followers of the brand, and they ask questions about the relationship between humans and virtual world.
Each image of the campaign “meditates on humanity” and tries to make man reflect on his relationship with the “present”. Some examples: “Does cloud make you think of data or sky?”, “How is unique different from new?”, “Is the future romantic for you?”.
Some answers are contained in a book, that we’ll call the third act of this experiment. It is possible to participate and answer them on the brand’s website.
