THE AMERICAN BRAND LAUNCHES A COLLECTION FOR THE WOMAN INSPIRED BY THE DO IT YOURSELF
Vans never ceases to amaze and introduces Lady Vans. After the latest news dedicated exclusively to sneakers, the brand is also focusing on clothing. Feminine, of course.
On Youtube there are many videos in which more or less established vloggers offer homemade recipes for different needs: from culinary to those dedicated to beauty care. Well, both aesthetically and practically, Vans takes its cue from the practice of Do It Yourself (DIY) and launches a wardrobe inspired by historical and graphic prints, also revisiting the logo of the range of women’s products of the 80s and 90s. Furthermore, in the spirit of this practice, the key pieces of the Lady Vans Collection encourage to be personalized by the wearer.
The line was created collectively by a group of designers of the brand who reproduced, on apparel and sneakers, the page of a fanzine. Some parts of it, in fact, serve as graphic design elements present throughout the assortment.
LADY VANS: A TOTAL LOOK WITH TEMPERAMENT
The collection expresses a femininity with temperament, the same goes for the campaign, in which the mood is clearly expressed. Practicality and a call to action – after all we are in full philosophy Do It Yourself – the garments take off with the long sleeve raglan top with a fanzine graphic on the chest and a “cut here” inscription placed inside the shirt, showing how to personalize, cut out or transform the t-shirt. Next, a pullover reminiscent of a 90s-style full hooded sweater. The fanzine motif is repeatedly printed on a midi dress that can be cut and customized following the internal “cut here” graphic. To complete the offer, a suit with patches on the sleeve and embroidered logo. There are also long and short sleeve t-shirts, a jacket and accessories including hat, pouch and backpacks.
And the sneakers? Vans also thought of them. Lady Vans presents the Era and the Sk8-Hi with all-over zine print and the retro Vans “Off The Wall” graphic. The Era offers three colors: pink, green and white; while the two iterations of the Sk8-Hi complete the assortment of sneakers decorated on one side black and azalea pink and one black and green, both with a contrasting yellow stripe.
