The 6 Moncler Noir Kei Ninomiya collection signed by the homonymous Japanese designer has finally arrived, below you can discover all the items in the range and where to buy them.
The Moncler Genius project, conceived to circumvent the traditional format of the twice-yearly collection of collections in favor of regular drops, has seen some of the most extraordinary fashion minds reinterpret the DNA of Moncler through their creative lenses. The latest collection coming is the 6 Moncler Noir Kei Ninomiya.
Having already presented a capsule for Moncler Genius in February 2018, at first, the designer Kei had declared that he would not take part in the second round of the project. And instead, here is his second collection for Moncler Genius always based on the aesthetic already established by the previous collaboration.
In fact, the principle guiding line remains its technical challenge and the meticulous complexity with which the apparently simple and easy to wear shapes are made.
In line with Ninomiya’s approach to unconventional assembly techniques, the collection focuses on the idea of repetition and modularity.
Making heavy use of nylon and leather, the shapes are constructed from small geometric patterns, which are replicated and joined by miniature metal rings to form entire garments.
The juxtaposition of smooth with ruffled and opaque textures with patented fabrics united by metal shots made by studs and floral details, translates it into a collection that is romantic, futuristic, but at the same time dark, punk.
