About 2 years ago I saw the first Pezzol 1951 collection at the Super tradeshow in Milan.
I immediately understood that there were the foundations to make it a great brand. The basic ingredients were all there: a company of great tradition, made in Italy, with a high production know-how in the sector of quality work shoes and, now, a new collection for the fashion market with a strong and recognizable element: that tip and the sole that have become distinctive elements.
The ‘commando’ rubber soles ‘oil resistant’ and a rubber toecap that wink at the brand’s workwear roots, dragged into a classic male world, gave life to something new. Classic, but at the same time strong and ready to enter with grace and power in the daily life of a metropolitan gentleman.
That tip was that kind of detail that can become a ‘fil rouge’ to give life to an entire brand. A distinctive element par excellence, combined with the finest leather made in Italy.
And so here we are, at Pitti 95, where Pezzol 1951 presents a truly important collection. The tip is (and remains) a distinctive element: we find it on classic laces, on ankle-shoe and today, novelties of the collection, even in boots. Sometimes playing in a tone-on-tone, sometimes an occasion to create wonderful color contrasts.
The tip sometimes disappears, to offer refined models, where the strength remains in the rubber soles from the powerful tank.
A brand that today has all the characteristics to establish itself and remain thanks to its strong identity.
