The Raf Simons x Eastpak FW18 collection includes five silhouettes that reimagine Eastpak’s renowned functional styles. The designs take cues from mid-century haute couture and urban subculture, with strong references to ’60s trench coats.
The RS Classic is based on a staple backpack silhouette, featuring a pleated construction and an oversized angular pocket; the RS Female is inspired by the traditional mantle, sporting a draped construction with a large main compartment and top flap; and the RS Organized Sling features a knotted, belt-like shoulder strap and angular front pocket.
All of the aforementioned models are made with custom materials inspired by trench coats and presented in black and henna red color options.
The RS Sleek Sling is a compact version of the Organized Sling, offered in an exclusive “Raf Simons Check” print; and the RS Coat Bag takes the trench coat reference a step further with a wool exterior, a coat cuff pocket and built-in buttoned waist belt.
The Raf Simons x Eastpak FW18 collection, which ranges from $200 to $500 USD, will release on August 1 on Eastpak’s web store and select retailers worldwide.
