Since joining Calvin Klein in 2016, Raf Simons has renewed the rules of the brand. And for the 2018 pre-fall season, he launched a collection in collaboration with Andy Warhol Foundation for the visual arts.
With the help of Warhol’s pop-art brilliance, this collection features floral motifs, scottish patterns, American symbolism and sharp brushstrokes of color, highlighting both the legendary abilities and the sharp eye of Simons for cuts and color.
The designer’s love for exaggerated silhouettes is ineluctable. The knitwear and outerwear are decidedly oversized, while the blazers and the bags are neatly matched with tight-fitting and tailored cut trousers . The fusion of relaxed fit, like athletic leggings with heels, makes luxury clothing both practical and elegant.
