Read Monitaly and think about italian brand, maybe even made in Italy. But no, Monitaly is the brainchild of a brilliant mind that we have praised other times, that of Yuki Matsuda, known for his footwear brand Yuketen. Moreover it’s made in the USA, and its name is derived from two great loves of Japanese designer, the daughter Monica and indeed Ital , a country for which he has a strong passion. It draws inspiration from vintage clothing, military design and outdoor living, creating garments characterized by craftsmanship, brightly colored fabrics with big impact and high quality, perfect fit and a solid overall functionality. Its philosophy marries the concept of turning a casual garment in a more refined aesthetic, without losing the features and the “lightness” of the head of origin. This jacket is a symbol of the S/S 14 collection and the overall mentality of the brand: all-over floral print, fabric nylon with leather details, zip on “kangaroo” pockets and adjustable hood.
