THE SOFTCASE AND ACCESSORIES BRAND PARTICIPATE AT THE 2019 SALONE DEL MOBILE WITH A HOME DECOR PROJECT
Pijama opens its archive at La Tigre for a home decor project: LSDREAM. In fact, the Made in Italy brand of soft cases and accessories involved the well-known design studio to create a hypnotic pillow collection. The models, obviously very colorful, will be presented during the next edition of the Salone del Mobile 2019 in Milan.
As the company, founded in 2006 by Monica Battistella, fashion designer, and Sergio Gobbi, architect, explains: «The optical graphics of La Tigre are screen printed on a selection of fabrics retrieved from the historical collections of Pijama, creating a double layer of pattern that alters the visual perception with a mesmerizing effect.» It is easy to think of Woodstock times, as well as the conceptual intentions of kinetic art.
LSDREAMS PILLOWS FOR SALE DURING THE 2019 DESIGN WEEK
Colorful and surreal, the cushions of the LSDREAM collection are made with four typical fabrics of the brand. That is three printed cottons (dotty white blue, camo and boxer blue) and one jacquard (dotty red jack, which thus meet the iconic graphics of La Tigre.
It is good to know that for the brand it is certainly not a novelty to weave creative relationships with situations that are not strictly related to fashion. And this leads to reflect on how concepts such as sharing, the union of ideas, are fundamental to grow. Even when it comes to selling products. In this regard, all models are created specifically for Design Week 2019, during which they will be available for purchase. Where? Exclusively in the Pijama shop in via Pastrengo 11, online at pijama.it and at the Design Republic store in piazza Tricolore 2.
